Shelley qualified as a solicitor in 2008 after completing her training contract in Worcester.
She then spent the next few years in private practice in Worcester before moving to a local firm in Gloucester in 2015 where she became an associate solicitor in 2019. The main focus of Shelley’s work is transactional. She acts for clients in the acquisition and disposal of their business interests, either assets or shares. She has clients all over the country from a wide variety of sectors including but not limited to the care sector, day nurseries, engineering and manufacturing, retail, hospitality and leisure.
Since most business transactions have a commercial property element, Shelley works closely with our commercial property department.
The majority of transactions also involve funding therefore Shelley also works closely with various lenders. She provides advice in respect of security documents and funding arrangements.
In addition, Shelley takes a holistic approach to her client’s business needs provides general commercial advice to business client’s from start up to exit including advice and drafting contracts, terms and conditions of business, shareholder and partnership agreements.
In her spare time Shelley is a keen rugby fan and enjoys reading, films, swimming and gardening
